Transoft Solutions, developers of productivity-enhancing software and services for the civil, transportation, architectural and aviation industry, is excited to announce the launch of AutoTURN Online Integrated for Autodesk® Revit® starting first in North America with global availability in the coming months. Architects and designers can use this application to quickly and accurately perform vehicle simulations to test spatial requirements for a variety of different projects all within the Revit environment. Users will be able to sign up for a yearly subscription at https://autoturnonline.com/integrated/
Vastly improving on the user experience, AutoTURN Online Integrated for Autodesk Revit will succeed the current desktop application, AutoTURN for Autodesk Revit, on March 3, 2021 in North America. AutoTURN Online Integrated for Autodesk Revit is installed and runs in Revit with a direct connection to AutoTURN Online requiring an internet connection when using the software.
Intended primary for architects using the Autodesk Revit platform, this latest release, uses the renowned AutoTURN engine to carry out vehicle turning maneuvers for assessing vehicle circulation in a site being developed. A vehicle’s swept path is drawn and analyzed to determine potential points of conflict or assessed for clearance needs on low speed roadways, parking garages, parking lots, driveways, loading docks, and more.
What’s New in AutoTURN Online Integrated for Autodesk Revit
The launch of this new online application sees new and enhanced features including:
- Eliminating the need to pre-draw a vehicle path first. With the new release, users can now generate forward and reverse vehicle maneuvers by simply dragging the mouse through your drawing
- Ability to use realistic and detailed looking vehicles in plan view for more engaging and professional presentations
- A large collection of vehicles including standard vehicles in design guidelines and manufacturer-based vehicles
“The need was there to move to a more robust system to ensure our users get the most accurate results and the best user experience possible,” said Andres Velez, Senior Civil Engineer at Transoft Solutions. “With the feedback from our userbase and the ability to leverage our existing AutoTURN Online technology, we have been able to successfully build upon and give our customers a better platform for their design work.”
