Ordnance Survey Mapping in AutoCAD
KeyOSC (Ordnance Survey Companion) Mapper is the simplest and most flexible way to bring Ordnance Survey GB mapping directly in AutoCAD. With performance comparable to GIS systems, KeyOSC Mapper seamlessly connects to the online OS Data Hub and the most current mapping datasets, or to your own locally managed, on-premises datasets. KEYOSC Mapper gives you ready access to reliable and accurate maps, while its powerful tools and utilities allow you to define the viewpoints, scales, and orientations presented.
Platform Compatibility
We strive to keep our products compatible with the latest operating systems and platforms. Find the latest product compatibility information for Transoft products.

What Makes KeyOSC Unique
Quickly access and import the OS maps you need
KeyOSC Mapper provides fast and seamless access from AutoCAD to OS Data Hub’s online mapping, as well as to your own OS MasterMap datasets. KeyOSC Mapper includes a gazetteer, based on the Open Names dataset, so you can quickly zoom to any specific street or area.
Save time with advanced plotting and loading tools
KeyOSC Mapper’s sophisticated—and simple to use—tools allow you to configure outputs and plot schemes quicker. Define, scale, and orient multiple views of your designs, and load desired levels of map detail into custom defined areas. You can also produce 3D digital terrain models with 3D buildings at the correct height using OS data.
Features
Seamlessly Connect to OS Data Hub
OS Data Hub – allows you to connect your AutoCAD directly to the online OS Data Hub and give you access to the most up-to-date and useful mapping datasets.
- Work with 3D digital terrain models to drape OS MasterMap across the surface, with and 3D buildings created from OS building height data
- Different levels of map detail can be loaded on-screen, or into any shaped area, such as a buffer along a length of road
- Includes a gazetteer, based on the Open Names dataset, to quickly zoom to any specific street or area
Explore Features
Load in Current View
KeyOSC Mapper will quickly fill your current CAD display with OS mapping, at the touch of a button. Additionally, mapping can be loaded into specific areas based on any closed polyline. If the area needs to be expanded, simply edit the boundary and the mapping is reloaded.
Load in Buffer
Alternately, mapping can be loaded in a corridor or buffer zone, defined by drawing a centre line and setting an offset distance. You can choose exactly what level of detail is loaded into the buffer area, and easily change its extents.
Connect Directly to OS Data Hub
With KeyOSC Mapper, you can connect directly to the OS Data Hub—including free OpenData for high level mapping or Premium OS MasterMap data for use as background maps—and convert them to vector AutoCAD entities within design projects.
Easily Load On-premises Content
For on-premises maps, KeyOSC Mapper GO Loader function is a complete, simple-to-use solution for loading content delivered in Geography Markup Language (GML) into your Oracle (Spatial and Locator), SQL Server 2008, or database.
Select From Different Visual Styles
KeyOSC Mapper supports Schema 9 (the most current schema of the OS MasterMap), and allows for seamless switching between different visual styles, including the ‘Standard’ OS MasterMap style, ‘Backdrop’, ‘Light,’ and ‘Outdoor’ (designed for using maps in the open). Previous data (e.g. Schema 7) can also be similarly styled.
Toggle Area Fills
Control automatic data loading with the toggle area commands so you can save on printing costs by setting the area fills to ‘off’. Alternatively a ‘grey mapping’ button can switch the OS maps from their default coloured appearance into grey mapping suitable for backgrounds behind scheme designs.
Different Mapping Levels
Different levels of map detail can be loaded onscreen, or into any shaped area, such as a buffer along a length of road; suitable for anything from a single junction to an area spanning multiple counties.
Quickly Search for and Load Sites
With KeyOSC Mapper name search function, you can use the OS Data Hub to search for postcodes, street names, or towns and districts, and load the mapping for that location.
Map Overview
With the MapView function you can make use of the OS Data Hub and also see overview maps so you can locate specific sites and roads before inserting into your drawing.
Create and Orient Viewpoints
With KeyOSC Mapper’s advanced plotting tools, you can readily create and orient viewports for mapping display. North symbols, scale bars, and borders can easily be inserted into layout or model view, and they are dynamically updated if you make any changes to scale or orientation.
Work in 3D on Digital Terrain Models
When using Ordnance Survey Terrain 5 data to produce a surface model in Autodesk Civil 3D, KeyOSC Mapper will automatically drape MasterMap onto the model and use the Building Height data to create 3D buildings.

Licensing Options
Transoft Solutions offers a range of licensing preferences for the majority of our software. These different options were developed to help small, sole proprietorships right on up to the largest multinational companies meet their transportation design and analysis needs in the most efficient manner possible. Transoft Solutions software uses our own proprietary licensing technology that allows for ease of deployment and flexibility to upgrade at anytime.
User Subscription License is a model where a set number of Subscribed Users are assigned dedicated access to the software through their unique logins for the duration of the license term. The software can be installed and used by a Subscribed User on multiple workstations.
Each Subscribed User represents one individual and their login and password, which cannot be shared with other users. Software activation is an easy process and can be done over the Internet.
Why Choose the User Subscription License Option
User Subscription License offers a cost-effective way for small businesses to start with one user and grow by adding additional users. For larger organizations, it will offer more flexibility in user administration and management via the My Transoft Portal. Furthermore, it can easily handle scalability and budgeting as per the business needs defined by the number of users.
Key Benefits of User Subscription License
- Automatic updates, new features, and content
Bug fixes, compatibility, and new version releases. - Easily manage your changing business needs
With enhanced scalability and user management. - Install the software and log in from anywhere
Access your workstation, laptop, or personal desktop. - Unlimited technical support
Receive premium assistance for all your deployments and technical support needs. - Invitations to learning-focused webinars
Attend learning-focused webinars from our product experts and learn how our software can help streamline design processes. - Flexible user license options
Choose from single to multiple user packages to meet your business needs. - Simple user administration
User Management can be performed in the My Transoft Portal, via invitation links or by Identity Provider Single Sign-on with User Provisioning.

Team Subscription License is a license option that is intended to support casual or occasional users of the software. The size of a Team Subscription License is represented as a number of allocatable seats.
Why Choose the Team Subscription License Option
While User Subscription Licenses are better for dedicated users, Team Subscription Licenses can be a good complement to these if your organization has occasional, less heavy users of the software.
How it Works
Each user of a Team Subscription License must have an account in the My Transoft Portal to request a license. Internet access is required for this process.
When an end user starts the software product on their workstation, the software will connect to the My Transoft Portal and will determine if any of the seats are available. If a seat is available, it will be allocated and dedicated to that end user who will have unrestricted access to it for 24 hours. At the end of the 24-hour period the seat allocation will automatically expire, and another user will be able to claim it.
Once all the Team Subscription License seats are allocated at a given time, no other end user will be able to use that license until the 24-hour period expires and one of the seats is automatically deallocated.
Key Benefits of Team Subscription License
- More flexibility for your team members
Allows access to software for casual users without having to spend on dedicated licenses for all users. - Less administrative effort by IT
Easy access to software for casual users without IT having to allocate or transfer licenses amongst team members, self-administered by users with automatic 24-hour lock. - Combined Team & User Subscription option
Flexibility of mixing plans according to the needs of different user types. - Automatic updates, new features, and content
Bug fixes, compatibility, new version releases, or vehicle guidelines are automatically available to you. - Easily manage your changing business needs
With enhanced scalability and user management. - Install the software and log in from anywhere
Access your workstation, laptop, or personal desktop with Single Sign-on. - Unlimited technical support
